This will be a growing section of the web page where you can find a variety of new resources to help you, your family and your coworkers.

When I started counseling full time in 1990, I did not intend to specialize in abuse recovery but a lot of abused people came; I wanted to serve them well and learned how to help them.

Now, in the 21^st century, I did not plan to work with a lot of people addicted to the Internet but they have been coming for counseling; I want to help them and their families and have learned how to help them make healthy changes. For some, pornography on line has hooked them into a secret lifestyle filled with too much shame to continue and too much compulsion to stop. For others, chatting or participating in threads occupies so much time that their families come for help or an intervention. For some younger ones, gaming and their MySpace take time that should be spent on homework and real life relationships.

Technology has evolved and with it come new problems, like exasperated parents of children with huge cell phone bills charged from text messaging, downloading and using way too many minutes with their friends.

This will be the place where you can find resources that turn rules into tools.

Just as Madison Avenue advertising executives have found applications of psychology for marketing, other business leaders have found practical ways to employ psychological discoveries to improve their bottom line. I like working with companies to train their employees, consult on human resource issues and coach executives. In this section, opportunities to apply the evidence based practices of counseling in the workplace also will be offered.
